Fellow tug nuts,
I'm having what appears to be a pretty common problem with the propane system on my 2022 R27. The solenoid valve that allows the propane to flow isn’t working when I push the valve button next to the stove. The green light is "on" on the gauge by the stove, and when I push the button the second green light comes on. The solenoid valve however does not make the clicking sound and propane does not flow to the stove. So, I bought the exact same solenoid as RT orignally installed. It's a Parker Hannifin part that is re-sold through Trident Marine. Parker Hannifin's part # is 04F20C2-Z05A1FOC75, and Trident Marine's part # is 1300-7708.2V-UP.
Here's the problem: I go to connect this new solenoid and the connection crimps to attach the wires are inside a small hole in the side of the propane locker. The hole is so small that the crimps that the wires would connect to won't come through no matter how hard I tug on what's left of the stubs of the old wires. They're somewhere on the other side of that hole and there's no way to access them. Some of the stuff on this boat must have been put together by gremlins, I swear.
How do I get into the other side where the wires need to be connected? Also, is there a fuse for this propane system somewhere? I see a fuse for practically every other thing on this boat except for the propane solenoid.
I'm just super frustrated, and would appreciate any help anyone can provide.
By the way, I'm not that handy - so much appreciated if this can be explained in simple terms.
