When using the propane stove top for frying I am concerned about grease splatter onto the wood at the back of the stove or along the bulkhead aft. On a home stove this is not so much of a problem as even though one is careful, it is easy to clean up any grease splatter. On the boat, however, there are wood panels that can attract and hold the grease. Does any one have a solution to this problem? We were going to buy cookie sheets to put up along the back and the side of the stove top but wonder if there are better solutions.

Yep, we will BBQ most of the time but we also plan to use the stove top for the wok.

Thanks for your suggestions.

We have a stainless steel panel on the right hand side and I flip my cutting board up against the shelves on the back.

see above, I do the same...and we treated our wood with polyurethane for easy cleaning.

I have seen a flexible self adhesive clear plastic sheeting that designed for use around a stove. It was designed to withstand hot grease splatters and be easy to clean. It would be perfect for your application as it could fit around all the nooks and crannies and the beautiful wood could still be seen. I have not seen it in the stores for quite a while, although I have not been looking for it. I am sure someone is still selling it.

You can buy a top of stainless and attach it to the stove....call the manufacturer!
