Propane valve for barbecue

I would like to use the main propane tanks to supply propane to my barbecue so I don't have to use the normal small tanks used for barbecues. Is there a type of valve I can add to the propane tank that will allow me to connect my barbecue grill directly to it?

There is a kit available from Magma, including valve, hose and fittings. (You’ll also probably need to buy a few fittings specific to your installation from your local hardware store.) I did this and am happy with the results. I inserted it *after* both the regulator and the solenoid. You have to turn on the solenoid to use the grill that way, but it is the safest installation. You’ll also probably need a new control for the grill since the one you have is specific to the disposable propane bottles. You can get it from Amazon. Here is a link.
