R-27 on order, late December 2024 delivery
We are starting to get to know our new 2025 R27 and trying to outfit it for us and our 75lb German Shepherd Dog.
The "dog house" berth area will be her space. We are trying to come up with some sort of way to protect the knobs and switches from any accidental bumps, or adolescent puppy inquisitiveness. Has anyone done anything on their boat to protect this area?

Some thoughts so far:
  • Get some Plexiglass and somehow hang it over that area (pegs installed on wall, holes in plexi)
  • Install some snaps and create a fabric cover to protect it
  • somehow store the cockpit table over that area.

I hadn't considered your problem, but it's worth thinking about. I still need to convince our puppy that the dock is safe to walk on. That said, I'd go with the plexiglass solution. You'll want to to know at a glance what's enabled and the status of the displays. IMG_5923.jpeg

The factory made us a canvas cover for that area, secured by snaps. Our use case was kid fingers, but should work ok for dogs too!

Our 70-pound Lab hasn’t messed with the electrical panels in the cave (kennel to her). But all dogs are different

Hello! New here and picking up our R-27 next week - do you have any info about this? We have some young meddling hands we are needing to protect from switches
