Subject: Protruding dinette base plate bolts into cave ?

At the Seattle Boat Show this year I was reviewing the interior of the cave in a 2019 R29 CB. The dinette table base is secured by 6 bolts. These bolts are long enough to protrude into the cave's ceiling by at least 2". They look awfully dangerous to any body part that may contact them - and I'm thinking of kids that tend to crawl about without much care what they hit or bump into.

IMO these protruding bolts need to be cut down and/or completely enclosed with a sturdy plastic covering to cover up the sharpness of the bolts.

For others with the R29 S/CB can you look at these protruding bolts and say if they are covered in anyway ?

Thanks... 🙂

Hello Barry,

As discussed, we believe this was an oversight. Normally there is a cover over these bolts and the ends are not the be protruding down that far. This is at the plant level and being addressed as we speak.

Thank you for pointing it out.

Thanks Andrew for giving this attention. 😀
