I did it, I did it, I DID IT!
First,
I lurked
Second,
I joined Tug Nuts and got my Cap.
Third,
I found a the nearest Dealer that had in Stock what they advertised.
Fouth,
I bought a 2013 R21-EC.

I drove from Texas to EdgeWater Yacht Sales in Pensacola Florida the Monday before Thanksgiving and met with Emile Petro III on Tuesday moring.
Emile spent the day showing me every Ranger he has and going over the features of each one focusing on the differences. It took the day because he has one of each Ranger. Wensday morning I chose the 21. I called "my people" and gave the phone to Emile and he took care of everything while I drank hand delivered free coffee outside on the patio and milling around the docks.
By 5pm my boat was in the water tested and demonstrated then back on the trailer ready to go. I was given dock space with lunch all free of charge for as long as I wanted to stay before heading home and a full tank of Diesel.
It just doesn't get any better. I stayed three more days.

Emile is a cut above when it comes to multitasking and customer service. They were preparing for a weekend Boat Show by putting the Rangers in the water; plus the other customers browsing and and calling in. He delt with it all in the same professional and even temperment not expected with so much going on. I was hoping some of that would rub off on me. I was excited and wired to say the least.

So, if you are tired of lurking or want to move up they have the Boats, service, and hospitality.
Go to their website and, "GIT ER DONE"!

Have a safe trip back and enjoy the boat.

Congratulations, and nice job. When you get back to Texas, join the World of Ranger Tugs map and join the other proud owners from the Lone Star state!

Cheers,

Bruce

When you have time relocate Willie's Tug back to Port Isabel for the winter. Thanks

Welcome to the new Hero Red R21 up in East Texas from the Tropical Tip of Texas.

Herb,

Congratulations! The R21EC is one of the best boats I've ever owned. I've owned many more than twenty boats. It's not perfect; I doubt there is such a thing as a perfect boat.

Enjoy it! Be safe.

Herb,

Welcome back to your (other) homeport.

Thanks for all replies.
In the near future I will have a ton of questions and it's great to have a database to search and post on.
For start I will cruise the intercoastal waters from the Texas state line at Louisiana west to Galveston and beyond.
Balogna, cheese, and coffee inbetween marina's. LOL

How or where do I get a cap?

Send me $5.00 and you should receive one in about a week.......

Or do not send me $5.00 and you will receive one in about 7 days......

Ranger Tugs sends each new Tug Nut a hat gratis!!

Major congrats on the new purchase!
I, too, have a hero red R-21EC, and couldn't be happier with it. It's got about 385 hours on it and still purrs like a kitten...well, a very large, grumpy kitten.

I am taking it crabbing this weekend up here in the Pacific NW with five other guys. It's now an annual trip made possible by the Red Ranger.

Congratulations!
I too just purchased a 2013 R21, only have a few hours on the meter but love it.

Well that does it. I'm off to Edgewater Saturday morning to take a look. Who knows what will happen. Actually, I do know what's going to happen. I'll post pics when it does.

Walldog,
Never did get my Tug Nuts hat
