On my 2016 Ranger Tug, I have had some difficulty at pump out stations. The stainless steel railing above the pump out fitting does not allow a lot of marina pump out hoses to be placed in an upright position to suck out the waste. Thinking I might need a 90 degree elbow or similar. Would you have a solution? Thank you

You could just make a straight extension that screws into the waste tank fitting. In our 2009 R-25 Classic it’s this:
A 4” length of ABS 1 1/4” pipe (11 TPI)

A couple PVC fittings is all you need. My glued up assembly screws into place and the 45 degree angle presents itself nicely to the pump-out hose at every place I've been. Photo in my album.

EDIT: Apologies, I'm having trouble adding a photo to my gallery. I'll try to send you a PM.

We also made a right angle attachment with PVC for our R25SC. It is one of the least expensive things you will do but it may also be one of the most critical at certain times. I also purchased the pumpout fitting to screw into the treaded coupler on the female side of the elbow we made so I did not have to worry about the dock staff cross treading things.

Can one of you folks send me a photo of the adapter you created for your 25sc ? Would love to see it and try to make one for my boat as well..thanks so much!

You need one of these:
CAMLOCK - 125F POLYPROPYLENE CAM & GROOVE FITTING; 1-1/4 INCH MALE ADAPTER X 1-1/4INCH MALE NPT https://a.co/d/i2T9kcT

And some 1 1/4 “ ABS or PVC NPT (11 TPI) male threaded (both ends) nipples.
and a double female threaded 1 1/4” coupler.

If you want to get fancy you could use a 90 degree coupler.
Should be under $20 total.

I know on my R25 is a 1.25 NFT on the boat. But is there a standard size for the pump-out side? THEY seem to all have female, meaning we need the male end, but I have encountered varying sizes mostly from 1.25" 1.5" to 2"? Most marinas are accommodating yet is seems like it should be standard. Thats here on the east side of Wa. state.

Thanks scross for the info. I definitely need a 45 or 90 degree elbow in the adapter to clear the stainless rail which runs directly over the Pumpout cap. If the rail wasn’t there or if the Pumpout was relocated as per other Ranger Tugs models, this adapter would not be needed. Thanks for pointing me on the right direction . Just need to find this parts available somewhere now 🙂

On my C28, the correct pump out fitting is SeaLand NozAll Pumpout Adapter, 1-1/4in 16tpi. The female threads on the boat are not tapered. Using a NPT tapered thread might work, but it is incorrect. The adapters that I have found at various marinas are all non tapered.

Just went out to the 2017 C-28 in our driveway and tried out the adapter we used on our former 2009 R-25 Classic. It fit perfect!
The threads on the adapter piece are stamped on it as 11.5. I know there are 16 TPI adapters out there but I was trying to keep everything simple using all 11.5 TPI components. The nipple that screws into the boat waste fitting threads is the tapered NPT type and it seals tight after a few turns.
Wish I could post a photo! Maybe this link will work.
