Greetings one and all,
Some friends and I are planning to be in the area off Campbell River from August 31 through Sept. 5 for salmon fishing.
We would like to know what species are running (I'm thinking it probably silvers, but will willingly bow to local knowledge) and where the best spots are to catch them (I don't have a clue). We will be in my 21-foot Ranger Tug (there will only be 3-4 of us) and have no problem fishing in Discovery Passage.
So I would be forever in your debt if you can pass along your fishing wisdom about the species running at that time, as well as the most likely places to catch them.
