Questions regarding the Stern Thruster on 2011 R 27

Wondering if these boats were every offered without a stern thruster? Was it a factory option or factory standard?

Any thoughts on getting rid of the stern thruster, glassing up the hole, fairing it in and calling it good? I never use it and have rebuilt the motor once already and it is due for a second rebuild.

We didn’t make any inboards without a stern thruster as they are standard for all our inboards. We can’t recommend the removal of the stern thruster. It’s up to you on any modifications done to the boat.
