I need to replace the line on my mast and boom. The current line has shrunk. What length of 1/4 inch line should I purchase so it is plenty long enough?

Thanks

Mark

Get hold of Andrew at the factory!!!!!!!

hi Mark,

I just went out and measured mine ('05 r-21classic)

Assuming the extended height of your pilot house doesn't make a difference (your boom may be higher than mine)... it looks like you'll need a minimum of 50 feet for the boom lift (topping lift?) and another 20 for the sheet. My line is 3/8', low-stretch, double braid. These are minimums so maybe add another 10 feet to be on the safe side (total 80 ft)

Never heard of a line shrinking so much...except for the time I accidently "shrunk" a halyard when making docklines 😱

I'll do a fast diagram of my setup and put in my gallery in a few minutes

Mark,
I've put a diagram of my rig in my gallery now.
I hope it helps

Slackwater Jack,

Thanks for the post and reply, that was exactly what I was looking for.

Mark 😀
