I have had MANY problems as of late with my R-21, but I am getting them figured outm one-by-one. Here is my latest problem. As I have posted before I went dead in the water and lost my electrical. The connected at the battery were compromised and that has been fixed.

Now I have moved on to my lights and mast lights. The red and green adn stern white work fine. It is the mast anchor, regular mast and foredeck light that don't work at all. I removed the collar from the mast wire and found that three of the wires had broke loose and were free floating.

I have tried multiple combinations and all the lights work, but not with the assigned switch.

I can not figure out which wire goes in which hole. There are four wire (1) black; (1) pink; (2) gray. There are four pins, one at 10 o'clock; one at 2 o'clock; one at 4 o'clock and one at 8 o'clock. The 8 o'clock pin is larger than the other three and can only go in that spot.

Can someone with a classic R-21 mast please look at theirs at identify which wire goes in which hole.

Thanks

Mark

One approach is to take a volt meter. Turn on a switch, check each wire with the volt meter until you find the one with power, label it, hook the hot wire to each pin until it lights the correct bulb, record the pin number. Repeat the process until you find all of the circuits.

Problem FINALLY solved. The key was the large hole was the black wire. I have uploaded to my pictures the proper wiring sequence for the mast lighting. Thanks to all who helped me solve this.
