I've searched about but could not find a conclusive answer to "R-21EC trailer tongue weight". I did find some info but it was 2007 dated and thought I'd post to get a more up to date answer.

So with R-21EC on a standard factory supplied trailer (not sure what the specs are for this) what would the trailer's tongue weight be assuming say full tank (18 gals) fuel and little gear onboard ?

Thanks... 🙂

On any pull type (not 5th wheel or gooseneck) trailer hitch weight should be a minimum of 10% of the loaded trailer to a maximum of 30%. This will minimize any adverse handling problems such as swaying at highway speeds (too back end heavy) and should not want to "break out" under hard breaking situations.

Surely someone has weighed their boat and trailer. If not I strongly suggest EVERY ONE does. The weight posted on the trailer is usually close, but the listed boat weights rarely are. You can go to most any truck stop with a scale or gravel pit or even a closed DOT scale (the often leave their scales on). In my opinion this is a safety issue.
I did and my boat weight is well over 2000 lbs more than published and I had almost no water and only 25 gallons of fuel and no gear on board, just dishes and bedding.
Fair winds and smooth seas.
