So we took delivery on our new R-23 back in november. We have been able to get in a little bit of water time and have been super happy with boat. A couple of overnighters in the cold have us looking into possible aux. heater. I've been looking at THIS http://www.ebay.com/itm/132011062462?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT. Any Thoughts? Anybody with other good ideas?
We ordered the boat without an anchor and rode, fenders, dock lines and safety gear. Had a lot of fun sorting out our system and adding just what we want. Put a big ass Rocna anchor. Still deciding if we want to add a windlass. Also, ordered boat without inverter. All parts and pieces have been ordered looking forward to getting it installed. The blue sea electrical panel is set up for a easy install. I'll post up some pics of the project.
Looks like we will be trailering Nixie to lake powell for xmas holiday, looking forward to that!

Looks good and should be enough for your size boat. I assume it does not get extremely cold in your area. You will need to buy a tank. It is not included with the price.

Yep. does not get crazy cold here in so cal 🙂 but we def will be heading to some colder areas. The unit is approx. 6000 btu's. I think that would be plenty for the R-23. We have 6000 btu camco catalytic heater in our little RV and it works great down to 0. I think I could connect directly to our fuel tank. Would be nice to add a vent to the V berth, that looks like it might be tough. Gets mighty cold at lake powell this time of year, will see how that goes and make a decision on the aux heater.

I assumed you had the gas outboard. If you have the diesel then you can go directly from your tank. The units don't use much fuel, but you may want to just figure it into your fuel burn when you use it.
