If your tabs are from Bennett, there is a collection of short videos on troubleshooting on YouTube produced by the Bennett staff. Go to YouTube and search for "bennett trim tab troubleshooting". GF

Yes, the troubleshooting information in the owner's manual, online and videos are good
I had the same issue recently on our 2012 Ranger 27. Did the troubleshooting guide and determined the issue was a failure inside the trim tab control controls at the helm. Ordered a replacement part from Amazon and swapped out the part that took about 45 minutes. An easy job.
