My 2021 is 8 people or 1450 lbs. Placard is beneath the port windshield pillar.

There is not a USCG requirement for boats over 20’ that are not hauling passengers for hire. https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-33/c ... S/part-183 The tag Ranger Tugs puts on is for their boat design. 8 people or 1450 pounds is their design. Getting up on plane with that many people and 200 hp is probably a pipe dream.

I went out just this last weekend with 8 souls total. All adults... all on the upper end of 'average' weight sans myself, who tips the scale just under 3 bills :shock:
The boat handled perfectly and quite normal. As stated, getting up on plane was impossible until I got someone to sit up in the forward berth... then, with both tabs down, she was able to juuussstttt get up on plane.
The water was not as calm as expected, but she did well.
Wasn't a lot of room to walk about, but everyone had room to just chill - which was nice because I haven't installed the auto trim tabs yet.
