Congratulations and welcome to the Ranger family! I'm in line for my second Ranger, a 27. Great machines.

Are they telling you will be getting a 2023 model in the Spring of 2022 or the fall? If so, that is really playing games with model years.

Thanks! Thats great and it sounds like we may have a similar plan... hoping this lifestyle works out for us and if so we will move up to a bigger model in a couple years when we scale down the size of our home as empty nesters. Year one will be a lot of learning on a large lake near us (Based at Marina and lots of local trailering as well). Year two inshore NY/NJ Coastal bays, rivers and a little ICW going marina to marina. Year three if all goes to plan we’ll be in your current situation waiting for a bigger ride. All the best with the 27. 😀

Yes. Currently June/July timeframe, with all the chip and commodity shortages I wouldn’t be surprised if this slips further. Not sure if it really matters what model year it’ll be badged, however being a 2023 would likely equate to better resale in future considering the way prices have increased over the last year. Boat, car (and most) markets are seeing unprecedented demand and supply chain challenges driving inflation and extended lead times. We looked at quite a few makes and all were talking about 2023s by the time we took delivery in Spring/Summer.

I don't know that I have ever seen a next model year for a boat delivered any earlier than September. It sounds to me like they are hoping to get you a boat in Spring/Summer but it might not be until the 2023s come out in late summer or fall. Unfortunately, then you might miss next summer. We ordered a 2015 R25SC in January of 2015 and then in September of 2021 ordered our current R29S. The wait gives you lots of time to plan and think about outfitting your new boat! Good luck dreaming. Interesting that you are contemplating a bigger boat already. When we purchased our 25 we thought it was our last new boat (of course the Sea Ray before that was also our last new boat). Our R29 is now our "last new boat" (but because it has now outgrown the garage maybe there is no reason not to go even bigger)! Hope you enjoy your watercraft as much as we do and welcome to the Forum!

Totally agree... its a big decision so we are in no rush. My first-mate’s opinion has been to start cautiously to learn and determine if the lifestyle suits us, then after 2-3 years “go big or go home” (LOL). Thanks for the feedback!

Congrats! Time slowed down dramatically while we waited for ours - and that was only about 5 months!

Thank you ElvinRay! As We grow older anything that slows down time is welcomed. We are actually really looking forward to the time spent in anticipation and planning for delivery. There is actually quite a bit to do to be ready... 😀
