Hi all, new to Tugnuts. I’m interested in the R-23. My question is what is the difference between the Northwest edition and
the Downeast version. Thanks in advance.

I think the best answer to this is for you to goto the RT web site https://www.rangertugs.com and select R-23 as the boat you wish to build. It clearly details the difference between the NW Edition and the Luxury Edition models.

Hi Dirt Sailor,
Welcome! You might want to repost this in the Chat. It’s currently in TugMutts (for dogs)

Moved to Chat forum.

This is the case for most models, but not the R-3 which only comes in a Standard Model. Same is true of the R-43 CB and S.

Currently, all other models are offered in Northwest and Luxury editions. There are no Downeast editions as far as I know. It's possible a dealer offers such a package, but I doubt that would be the case in California.

See the Compare Ranger Models Page for details.

Cheers,

Bruce

Yeah.. missed that little “m” in tugmuts 🙂 Thanks for moving my query into the proper forum. Reason I asked about the downeast version is because, in a listing I’m looking at it states downeast for the class of boat. Version/class?
I thought maybe “downeast has air conditioning and “northwest” has a diesel heater. Thanks

We just put a deposit on an R23. What I thought was nice is the ability to option up the boat how you like. In my case we started by including the AC and didn’t stop until there was not much left to add. LOL.

Thanks! We are just getting started and are searching for used R-23’s, which are rare and don’t stay on the market that long.
Buying new might be a better way to go, since depending on options they are not that much more in price.
Thanks for everyone’s responses!
