Hey Gang,

My 2012 R-27 Classic is one of the “lucky” builds that has the P79 glued to the hull. I’m going to replace it and wanted to ask if anyone has opened up the floor of the starboard side locker in the cockpit and if that would give easier access to the transducer and/or provide a new mounting location to the hull. My thought was to install a hatch in the floor of the locker if it would provide easier access for a new transducer with the required fluid cup. Any and all thoughts and advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Mark

If I was going to work on that floor, I’d just replace the whole section of plywood with Starboard and install an access hatch in the Starboard.
Something like this for the hatch:

The floor in my 25 Classic starboard locker is doing ok but I’d rather it not be plywood!
