I'm still sleuthing out the DC/AC in our new-ish tug, but I just realized I don't know how to turn off the fridge specifically.

I can't find a DC switch to handle on/off... Do I need to pull a breaker?

The only reason I ask is because I just handed over the keys for her 100-hour service, and I realized after I got home that the fridge will happily draw down the house batteries quietly for the next week.........

On my 28 Cutwater I use the turn dial in the back of the refrigerator to turn it off. I was skeptical on whether or not this would totally isolate the refrigerator from the battery current draw so I've measured battery discharge, using a volt/ ohm meter, to make sure it doesn't continue to draw off the batteries and it does not.
Hope this helps!

You can turn the fridge off via the thermostat inside the fridge, other than that turn off the house batteries.

... so obvious in retrospect.

Thanks!

You can turn the refrigerator off by turning the thermostat past the 0. You should feel a detent when turning. If you do not feel that it may still be on. If you question that you felt the detent it may still be on. That is what happen to me. I made this mistake early on (Cutwater 26). The mistake caused a completely dead House bank and condensation water on the floor from the open door and the condensation running out onto the floor. After this event I started removing the refrigerator 15 amp fuse anytime I wanted to shut the refrigerator off. In the 5 years of owning the boat after this incident I never touched the thermostat for temperature control or to shut off the fridge. I'm not advising that this is the right thing to do. I'm posting our experience and use of the refrigerator that was installed in the Cutwater C26. This worked for us.

I have always seen a breaker for the refrigerator on the 12 V panel. If there is none there you can turn it off as stated above. However, I would want to know where the fuse is in the event it blows.

I have a switch in the 12 volt panel . Its the top one on the left. The battery charger is top one on the right. I always make sure those 2 are left on when I leave. The fridge is off now in storage battery charger is on. I'm surprised they are not all like that.

Greg, Pull the 15 amp fuse that is specifically for the fridge. On our 2019 C-28, it's in the mirror compartment in the Head behind the helm.

I just bought a high-amp battery ON/OFF switch that I'll install next to the fridge to turn it ON and OFF instead of pulling the fuse.

Thanks everyone.

Just making sure I have a "family friendly" course of action when I ask someone to do something for me and I'm on the road for work.

A few great options here, cheers
