Greetings. This winter I will not be near shore power and will need to remove and reinstall Lithium House as well as Engine and Thruster batteries for winter. Can you provide us with step by step instructions please. Are there any concerns with the ACR or DC to DC chargers to worry about, re programming needed, etc.
Do we need a special land charger for the lithiums? any recommendations?
Thanks

Note: I would be able to have solar exposed through my winter cover but do not think it would be adequate to keep things charged. do you

In my 2015 R25sc, the OEM solar array keeps the AGM batteries fully charged during the winter solely via exposure thru the clear panel in the winter cover. I make sure that the cover is free of snow. I am in South Dakota where winter temps often fall to -20F and we get only about 8-9 hours of sun from mid-October to mid-February All battery switches are kept in the off position. The only loads are the CO and propane monitors. The display usually shows 13+ volts.

Not a small project and expensive. If you are worried about your batteries and not using the boat. Take them out and once a month put them on a trickle charge. May batteries don't even go down much when I leave them in the boat and disconnect the positive leads.
