Ladybug Too sits at anchor at my dock so changing out the prop nut zinc will be a annual item. Can you give me a part number, description and/or pricing for spares. I will change it in place with a hookah rig when I clean the bottom.

Thanks!

Thanks Stuart and Bridget,

Are these Ranger numbers or another catalog.

Pat, Ladybug Too

These are the part numbers for the parts themselves.
You can call Ranger and they will send them to you. They do not mark the parts up. They just provide them as a service to us.
You can take the part number and search the product yourself. If you go to the left side of the page when you load up the tugnuts site you will see a parts list for all the Ranger boats. It would behoove you to check out all the attachment that are there. Lots of good info.

P.S. If you are keeping your boat in the water you may be replacing those zincs more often then once a year. You may also want to put a little lock tight on that nut that holds that prop zinc in.

Stuart,

Thanks again! I am having a real learning experience on Ladybug Too. My last boat was a modified Stamas Family Fisherman that I converted from I/O to Inboard VeeDrive. I had one zinc on the prop shaft that I renewed at the start of our fishing season. The electrical system was home brew and simple. The most sophisticated thing on her was the Raymarine A70D Chart Plotter/Bottom Machine and Raymarine VHF with linked MMSI transmission. I have been concentrating on the electrical and learn something new each day. It is really a great system. I have back checked the voltage meters with a very accurate digital device and find good correlation. I love the distribution layout and the switching ability. With four house batteries, one thruster and one starter, there is a lot to keep up with. I still haven't found a "Y-valve" but haven't seriously looked for it. Your parts list looked like a great list of spares some of which I will keep on hand. I guess it is order time! Pat

If you go into the aft stateroom you will see on the most forward bulkhead a small door. It is just held in with Velcro. That is where your Y-valve is. It is really only a valve that will allow you to pump your holding take overboard. The switch for the pump is on your panel just before you enter the aft stateroom. Always watch when you are pumping it out and never let it run dry for more then a couple of seconds.

If you ever want to just call me and talk about the R-29 you may anytime. I will be happy to tell you what I have learned over the last year. I have almost 300 hours on mine now and we got her one year ago to the day. I do all my own service and know my boat inside and out. I also run two 130watt solar panels which keep the house bank very well charged. I am hardly ever plugged into shore power. Only when I have a guest slip for a night, other then that the solar keeps be going great!

When you get the prop zinc part number check out http://www.boatzincs.com to get a price. I've found their prices to be much better then West Marine, etc. They also have the pencil, thruster or any other zincs you might need.

I did not see the R-29 prop zinc on the boatzincs website. But here is another thought. If you find the zinc you want online for less then what west marine sells it for, just print out the add and bring it into west marine and they will match it.
I have done this with many other items. They are real good about it.

Spirit of Gratitude, thanks for the parts list, I also have the solar panels and would like to talk more with you on the subject. As well as some of the general maintenance issues. Thanks Mike 352-428-2971
