After much discussion of the pros and cons of downsizing we finally pulled the trigger. I really liked the new R 23 but we ended up with the Cutwater 24-20. It is equipped with the 240hp Vovlo I/O duo prop and the aux is a Yamaha 9.9
with power trim and tilt, electric start and the Panther remote steering control. The CW is loaded with other features including radar, anchor windlass, cabin heat, and an Aluminum trailer. We haven't had a trailer boat in a long time so that could open up many new cruising opportunities.
In Washington State we have very complex fishing regulations which can change at any time. The faster speed of the CW will open up several fishing area's that were not an option with the R 29.
Plus my wife, Beverly really liked the CW 24. Happy wife, happy life. Done deal !
I do have a Nova Kool freezer/reefer model BCD 60 liter unit for sale and a Scotty crab/shrimp pot puller for sale.
