Where can I get an owners manual for my 2017 R-29 CB? Thanks!

Hello,

At this time we do not have owners manuals for the R29CB or R29S. If you have specific questions, our dealer you purchased it from or the factory are happy to answer them for you. Please feel free to call the factory direct at (253)839-5213 if you have questions.

Thank you,

Hi Curtis,

Is there a planned release date for the manual/s? I'm new to the tug community, recently purchased an R29S, and an owner's manual would be a great help (I was very surprised when one didn't come with the boat and wasn't available on-line). These boats and all of their components form a complex system (especially for a first time boat owner). Having an owners manual is (IMHO) essential.

Sorry, I meant Andrew (I work with a Curtis so defaulted to using your last name - apologies).

Is there a planned release date for the manual? I, like most owners, I assume, like to learn about my boat's systems (beyond what comes from the manufacturers of the components) BEFORE something goes wrong. I've owned lots of boats and not having an owner's manual is a first. I love the boat, but it just seems strange to not have one. Thanks!

I have a 29S and love the vessel. It is a 2015 and I am the first to admit that it does have many systems. I have learned information from Tugnuts and the captain of the Ranger Tug Just Dreamin' who is on my dock. But, I go back to that old saying that when the horse gets out of the barn it is too late to learn how to shut the door. Just reading about the boat's many systems can give one the inside scoop to possibly prevent or diagnose a problem. I know that the factory is more than helpful to answer questions and assist with problems, that is fantastic. I have heard horror stories where some other manufactures basically pass the buck and the owner is left to fend for themselves. All I have ever heard or read on Tugnuts is how the Ranger Tug factory is very supportive. That being said, I would love to have a manual just to read and try to digest the info. in a relaxed mood. Thanks

Just closed on our 2017 R-29S. Any update on the manuals or schematics?

Have you downloaded the R29 manual? There are differences but it provides a starting point and differences can be red-lined.

What I don't understand is why there is no guidance from the factory about this? It would help if they would tell us that they don't plan on issuing a manual for this model of their boat, or if they are planning a release in 2017/2018/2019, or if they decided to no longer produce any manuals for any of their boats going forward, or whatever the real reason is. To just not respond seems out of character with a company that prides itself on its responsiveness to its owners.

Hello,

I do not know of an exact date of when the manual is planned to release but I do know the boats very well and can answer any questions you might have. If you have something specific, please call me directly on my cell and I will answer those questions for you. Pictures are also worth a thousand words and plan to get some build photos for everyone today which can also help answers in terms to locations and system layout.

Have had a challange keeping the fresh water system working properly. I have learned importance of keeping good water treatment in tank but seems like always cleaning strainer screens and the screens in piping to faucets. Finally replace main water pump this spring. A tech paper on how to maintain water system would be helpful. Also were is the water heater. I have not removed screwed on panels but where the heck is it ??????

Thank you for the suggestions. The water heater is located all the way forward in your mid cabin towards the starboard side. Have to remove a carpeted wall to access it.
