I am looking to replace/upgrade the crummy screens that insert into the hatch openings. They are usually slightly warped and don't seal - thereby letting in persistent mosquitos and gnats in the warm, swamp climate of DC. Anyone else found a better solution that looks good? Ideally it would be easy to open/close and would not be Velcro based. I have considered having teak ones made that hinge and fit over the openings. Who makes our hatches? Are they Diamond Sea Glaze like the side windows and doors?

Take a look at Oceanair Sky Screens. They look good and are very functional with a roller screen for the bugs and a roller shade to block out the sun. There is a pic of one installed in my photo album. They are pricey!

The hatches are made by Jim Black which is part of High Tide Manufacturing . They can be seen here .
No better screen available there . The Ocean Air products are great , but pricy .
