Hi Ranger fans. One of the sliding glass windows on my R-31 is stuck closed due to the push lock being unable to release. Has anyone experienced this and if so how did you get the push lock to release?
Thank you,
Bobby Singer

Push forward (close) hard to break the seal and give the latch room to release. Then you should be able to release the lock and open. If still having trouble use a thin blade to break the seal and try pushing forward again. The weather seal gets stuck with weather and temperature changes. Clean and lubricate the seal once you get it open.

Red Raven is correct. Once you have it released, spray with silicone. We have that exact problem and the solution has been effective.

Good Morning Bobby!
I squirted some Bow Roller spray from West Marine in the channels. That helped the ongoing sticking. For the latch, I wedged a stout stick diagonally against the window with the front tip of the wood against the pilothouse frame. The stick sits flat coming back against the window and compresses the latch in the open position. I then used the stick as leverage to force it open. (I've also used a dinner knife, but it scratches the frame) . I've done it on all 3 of my RTs. Cleaning and lubing the channel seems to keep it from occuring again.
