I'm impatient waiting for my new R 31 sedan. The dealer has it but local weather has delayed launching boats by about 4 weeks. One week ago we still had a #@!$ foot of ice in the harbor!

I ordered the boat back in January and by now have forgotten some details. How does one get to the top deck on a sedan? The flybridge model has steps. I don't recall seeing a ladder on the sedan. Please let me know.

Best,

Bob

I cannot find a picture right now, but your new boat will have a short two step ladder that will attach on either side of cabin atop the gunnel. This will give you a leg up to climb upon the roof. I find that is easier for me to climb up from the bow, stepping on the bow rail and then putting my knee on the roof above the eyebrow and then using the mast as a handhold stand up. No stairs but then there is no real deck atop.

Thanks Herb, access was more about cleaning solar panels etc.

Best,

Bob

We've found it's easier to get topside on the 31 than the 29. The side ladder works good for easy access, and climbing up from the fore deck above the berth and over the eyebrow is not difficult. Two nice features carried over from the command bridge model are the molded non-skid surfaces, and a raised toe rail around the perimeter. These make it much more secure topside.

Cheers,

Bruce
