R21 EC shaft seal

Has anyone tried a dripless shaft seal on their R21 EC? If so, what do you like and dislike about it?
I'm looking for input from people with firsthand knowledge.
I have a chance to buy one for a good price and I'm thinking about it.

Sorry, I don’t have first hand experience with one but I am pretty sure that if you do a search you will find people here that have installed them. My memory suggests that people have been impressed with them but the ‘downside’ if you want to call it that, is that the boat will have to be out of the water and some disassembly / reassembly done. Good luck finding the threads.

I did a search. I did several searches. The only thing I found that directly addressed the dripless seal and an R21 was from Slackwater Jack. His post was very informative but I still need to hear from people with first hand experience.
If anyone has links to the subject I'd appreciate having them.
