We hope to buy a R21-EC this Spring/Summer but are currently completely immersed in building a house. At present the closest I get to boating is working with a landscaper to allocate an area for the Tug and trailer to sit when not out cruising.

Can someone please provide me with the width of the R21-EC and trailer and verify the overall length of the standard trailer. From the spec sheets and searches I have done, the trailer length varies from 26' to 31' but I have been unable to find the trailer width listed anywhere. Also any suggestions for the required space would also be appreciated. Initially this will just be a small separate driveway but eventually I hope to be able to construct a semi open boat shed to keep the tug somewhat out of the elements. We are on the west coast of Canada (Vancouver Island, BC) so the weather is relatively mild.

Thank you in advance for any help.

We had a 2016 R-21EC with the Ranger Tug's stock EZ trailer.

Length of trailer 30.2 feet and another 2.7 feet for the swim step extension. This then would be an overall length of 33 feet.

The R-21EC's beam is 6'-8" and the trailer wheels extend out at least 1-foot so I would say a safe width with the R-21EC on its trailer would be 9 feet.

My advice would be to have an area measuring 35 feet by 10 feet to be on the safe side.

On my 2010 with a single axle ez loader trailer and folding reach.
Newer models will have the wider swim grid.

From the ball hitch to the end of swim grid 27' 7" with reach out.
4' over hang past the end of the trailer
3' folding reach
8' 4" out side of tire to out side of tire.
13' 4" height on trailer with mast up.
