R21 intermedent not cranking over

Hi
I have a 2013 R21 that starts 99% of the time. The other 1% engine won’t crank. After about 10 tries she will fire up normal.Doesnt seem like battery or charging system problem. I only have about 25 hours on her . Any ideas on troubleshooting?

On mine if the throttle lever in not dead center it will not crank over. Wiggle the shifter to center and "Bob's your Uncle" and away she goes.

check the battery connections. remove, clean, re-attach

Like Newf said... wiggle your throttle lever to ensure it is dead center. Had me scratching my head a few times too...

Also guys, it might be worth your while to remove the rubber sealing cap from the throttle lever pivot point. I was having similar issues and I discovered that the securing nut, holding the lever to the gear shift mechanism , had come loose, with the effect that the throttle was not disengaging completely. Once I tightened that up, I had no more problems. Might be worth a look. Regards, Steve

Just check your key is fully pressed in. If out a touch you can still turn but will not crank.
