R21 resale

Almost ready to take the plunge..new Blue R21. My concern that my local yard brought up is the limited market for resale if I want to move in a few years. I know I should think positive, and not look at the resale, but I guess it is somthing that should go into the formula prior to new purchase.

Don't be worried about resale these boats hold their value. I wanted to buy a used 21ec and I could not find one or if I did it was all ready sold, so I had to buy a new one.

I agree with Dave. I do not believe resale is an issue with the 21EC. They are very difficult to find used and hold their value well. They seem to depreciate to a certain level over a number of years and hang there.

There's a 2008 R21 in MD on Yachtworld.com for $38K on trailer. Also listed is a 2007 R21 in NJ for $33K. Same site has a 2011 in Austin, TX for $48.5K. Four more on the west coast. There's even a used 2010 that Ranger has in it's parking lot in Kent, WA.

I have been looking for used and anything I find is holding its value very well. So well in fact I may just go new.
So far I have been able to find 2 used in ontario, both owners are moving up in the ranger family.

The 2015 has some nice new features that might make it worth buying new, the change to the cabin top to move the rain gutter drain away from the cockpit is very desirable if you plan to enclose the cockpit or just to keep it dry in a rain. Also the cockpit table and large swim platform added in 2014 are worth it too. We also are in the Cambridge area. Good luck in your search. Ryan At Lefroy so great to work with!
