R21 searchlight

I have a 2010 R21EC with the standard Jabsco searchlight which is pretty much useless due to the reflection off the white bow. Has anyone come up with a shroud or something that you put on the light that solves the reflection problem. I don't want to relocate the light which of coarse would solve this problem. Thanks.

2 possible solutions

A. using cardboard, fashion a shroud to fit to the bottom of the light. cut it to shape so that it will cast a shadow on the bow. Drawback, the shadow will move with the light so there'll always be a shadow wherever the light points

OR

B. using cardboard, fashion a shape that can be attached to the roof in front of the light as to cast a shadow forward on the bow. allows full beam when light is not pointing forward, But may not be as consistant.

Use the cardboard as a template to make it out of sheet aluminium or stainless steel and permanently mount


**You may want to make sure you have a "spotlight" and not a floodlight. These things can come in both types and you may have got the wrong one.
