Does the electrical power for the r21 EC thruster come from the starter battery or the house battery?

I guessed wrong. Just finished with a few checks and it seems that my bow thruster is connected to the house battery. As I noted in the previous post I can operate the thruster without having the house master switch under the helm turned on. Just press the thruster buttons and it's live.
With everything connected as is, I turned on the thruster switch. Using a multi meter I connected to one battery at a time and bumped the thruster for a second. Each battery showed a draw down in voltage when I did this to them individually, meaning there is a connection between them somewhere for this to happen. (Maybe through the ACR).
Still not knowing which one provides the power for sure, I disconnected all cable leads on the start battery. There was still power to the thruster. Hooked the leads back up and disconnect those to the house battery. No power to the thruster this time so "guessing" again that the house battery provides the power to the thruster.
Electrical is not my thing so can someone with electrical knowledge explain the voltage drop on each of the batteries when checked with the multi meter and engaging the thruster? Is it because they are connected through the ACR or is something else at play here?
