R23 200 HP Yamaha outboad does not come out of water

I have a 2017 R23 and when she is docked Yamaha tilt will not bring engine completely out of water. About an inch and 1/2 to 2 inches sits in water and I am concerned about corrosion.
Does anyone else experience this problem?
Would appreciate any suggestions to solve.

I have a 2019 R23 and my Yamaha 200 is the same way. I think it's just a poor design

I painted the bottom several inches of mine

That’s normal.

Bottom paint the nose cone. Mine usually sits 1-2 inches under water. It won’t get corrosion but will get bottom growth which comes off easy.

Same problem on our 2016 CW 24. I added several hundred pounds of lead to the chain locker. This did the trick, and I think it improved performance in choppy water.

Mine sites fully out of the water to about 1/2” in the water depending on my fuel and water levels.

The tip of my F200 also sits in the water in my 2019 R23 regardless of fuel load but my neighbour’s 2017 R23 sits an inch or two out. We both have kickers.
