Does any R-23 owners use fender racks, and where do you mount them? I saw one post stating their racks were mounted on the outside of the bow rail. I'm not to sure about that, I fear they will be in the way at a dock or raft up. Then again, the racks will not be in the way of moving forward to the bow. My stren railings are occupied, so that's out. Suggestions needed. Photos? Thanks.

You pose a very good question and I am curious to see what others have found. I have not found a good place to keep them other than in the storage locker in the floor. I have thought about using the storage racks, but again, I don't see a really good location that doesn't get in the way of other things.

On my R29S I attached the fender rack to the swim platform rails. Maybe you will have enough room to do that too. On our R-25 we mounted the fender rack on the port bow rail and it somewhat blocked our visibility, but not too much.

Rodney,
It looks like the outboard stern railing, the inboard puts the rack too close to the outboard motor. I just did a test fit. The bow railing is out, the fender rack hangs out too much and will most likely hit things. On the outboard stern rail the rack doesn't extend past the side of the boat. Of course this will require I relocate the dinghy motor mount, or eliminate the mount and keep the kicker in the locker vacated by the fenders. I wouldn't have to worry about it falling off...
