Trying to locate and reset inverter on my newly purchased used 2019 R23 # FMLT2377C919. Inverter light on main panel board was on when I purchased boat but recently when out while plugged into shore power— not sure why.

Hi!

The inverter on the R23 is located behind the electrical panel. On the inverter, you will see the power supply to the breaker panel (hooked up to the outlet panel on the inverter). The outlet that is on the inverter is a GFCI, it could be that this has tripped. Feel free to reach out to me via email for any more questions and troubleshooting.

Thanks!

Get on inverter power only and check all the GFI outlets. Any one of them could have tripped. Easier than getting your hand up behind the bulkhead. Happened to me, I was dreading trying to reset the GFI on the inverter. I was glad to find the starboard GFI by the stove tripped.

I was able to find location of inverter on my 2019 R23, although to get to it - the Ac panel cover needs to get to it .
I am really in the dark as to when it can be used. When not on shore power on a mooring - it is my understanding that inverter can only be used for very short periods for such 110 devices such as: microwave, 110 ac power tools, electric stove or other small 110 devices. My air conditioner draws to much power when off shore power to run on the inverter without running down house batterie quickly. Am I missing something, and why does someone order an inverter as option on a R23?

You can use the microwave, outlets, etc, which don’t run on 12 volts, while running if the inverter is on.

You would find it really useful to watch the Ranger Tugs webinar on power management (YouTube) and also download the spreadsheet to calculate your power usage. Marco has responded so you have his contact info. He will, I am sure, point you to the source for these items. There are also enough posts on here that you can read about what you can and cannot run on the inverter and for how long to keep you busy for hours. I recommend to start with the webinar.

Hopefully this helps

David
