There is a wiring harness crossing over the aft end of the engine. Check it. It rubs against the engine block. I had trouble with my engine "stop" button. Andrew suggested looking at that batch of wires and the one for the "stop" button was skinned and shorting out on the engine block. Quick fix, of course. Check yours. There are other bundles of wires going places, and I can't imagine they are restricted to the 110 motor, so everybody should make it a habit to check.
