my readings indicate about 18 gallons more than actual amount. used reading is accurate. talked to cummins/smartcraft and calibration is correct and sensor may be the problem. anyone have any comments / suggestions on this? thanks , starr :?:

Our R 25 with the Cummins 130 has almost never had an accurate fuel reading. Recalibrated with Andrew's software. Cut a hole in the floor and installed a different gauge. Still perplexes us. We trust the Flow-meter more and use that to estimate our fuel. Argh!

I have a R25 with the Cummins 150, same Smartcraft system I presume. The tank reading stays full for a long time. Eventually it gets to a approximate correct reading. The fuel flow and gallons used is spot on and is what I rely on. Last weekend I filled up after a trip out on Prince William Sound and I put in .2 gallons differant then what the smartcraft told me I had used. I'm happy with that. I don't know that I've every known anyone with a fuel level gauge in a boat which was correct. Now the domestic water level on the Smartcraft seems realy close normally, go figure. Must have to do with the tank size and shape.
