R25 2008 garmin gps 4210 no engine data

On my 4210 gps there is supposed to be engine data from the information tab but I get nothing. Tried everything but no go. Even called Garmin but tried what they suggested and still no go. I did get it for a minute but after shutting it down and starting again, no engine data again. Anyone have this problem?

We don’t get engine data from our 2009 Yanmar 4BY2-150 to the Garmin 5212 either. Didn’t even know that was possible for the Yanmar to pass that info to the Garmin. Not sure the factory wired things to do that during construction. Frankly the Yanmar i5601 display gives me all the engine info I need. Just wish the Yanmar display was brighter.

Did you ever get the data? In order to get the data your data would have to come via the NMEA 2000.
