I have a 2008 R25. I just charged the batteries for the season but I noticed when the battery bank meter is in position 2 it reads 0 volts. According to the owner's manual this is the house batteries, but on the pdf. for the Laurie Ann they say it's the thruster and windlass batteries. If the thruster battery switch is in the off position would it read 0 volts or is there something else going on there? And if I know the batteries are charged does it matter? Do other nuts depend on the meter for current information (excuse the pun)?

The voltmeters each connect individually directly to the batteries or the buss. So switch position doesn't matter. There is a 3A inline fuse. It's possible the no.2 lead isn't connected or the fuse is blown/missing.

I discussed the discrepancies between the pdf drawing, the manual, and actual wiring with the factory and they said "always" no 1 is starting, no 2 is thrusters, and no 3 is house.

Thanks Dan. I looked at the schematics and thought there might be a fuse involved. Now I just have to find it.

When you change the batteries it's easy to miss the meter wires and not re-attach them, they usually fall down on the side or between the batteries. Look to make sure that you've re-attached the positive and the negative. The positive does have an inline fuse.

Blown fuse. Problem solved.
