I have rain water leak coming in through the small port side trailer light (installed just down and a bit forward of the passenger side window). I can see access to it is from inside the port side 'glove compartment' and although I see the wires going into a small plastic fitting I don't see any screw heads that one would expect to be holding the trailer light in place. Is this chrome trailer light fitting simply caulked in place from the outside or am I missing something? Somehow I need to re-caulk this fitting but I have to figure how to get it out first in order to do so?
Any suggestion? Thanks, Andrew

I had a similar problem with water coming into the vee-berth and I didn't discover it immediately and was faced with a lot of ugly black mold on the underside of the cushions on the starboard side.

If you do a "search" using "walkway" you should pull up my struggle with water in the vee-berth.

The problem was "cracked" plastic light fixture. The chrome cover is friction fit so you can wiggle it off then take the light off using a small Philips screw driver. All work on replacement can be done from the outside of the boat.

Three of the four walkway light fixtures were cracked, Ranger Tug sent me four replacement fixtures.

Further to my initial response you had best do a search on "walkway light" otherwise you will get too many reports.

Thanks Bob, Form the information you have given me I feel confident in being able to fix the problem and if need be replace the light fixture.
