Our R25 is a 2008 model and came originally fitted with a Wallas. I'm planning on installing a Webasto "Airtop" forced air unit. When the factory installs this option where do they locate:
1)fuel pump
2)heater unit
3)combustion air intake
4)heater registers- how many and where.

Also where is the hot air ducting routed, i.e. is it run in the same space between interior and hull as all of various other the wiring/plumbing?

Thanks.

Hello Dan,

We've never installed a Webasto unit on a classic R-25 before, only the R-25sc. Are you planning to do the install yourself or have a marine center do the work? There's a that has changed between the two boats but i'd be will to go over the install over the phone 253-839-5213. I need to know how your boat is equipped first.

Hopefully someone else on Tugnuts has done this install and can help out a bit more.

Thanks,
-Kenny

Thanks, Kenny. I'll give you a call from on board so communication will be easier. I'm not familiar enough with the boat yet to reliably visualize things from a verbal description. Definately verbal comms will be easier. I don't know what were options when the boat was new so don't really know how to tell you that she was fitted. In the cabin she had a wallas and has a refrigerator. There is a heater untit piped to the engine coolant that is installed to starboard at the level of the cabin sole below the helm. Dinette on the port side with reversible front seat. Cummins/mercruiser power.

I'll give you a call. With time difference I'll try you tomorrow AM before I head out for work.
