R25 cockpit bench seat trouble

Anyone having trouble extending and putting back the bench seats in the cockpit of the R25? Both benches are giving me trouble, as if the hardware is bolted down too hard or too loose. Anyone have similar issues or and ideas how to address?

I've never had any trouble. I expect that the hardware for the hinges can be loosened if yours is tight. Maybe try a little marine grease.

Yes, ours too. They’re very tight. I didn’t have time to check yesterday but I was going to start with some WD-40 on the principle that if something is stuck and shouldn’t be, WD-40 it. It might be that the bolts are also a little tight, but they definitely got worse over the winter. That implies corrosion. Like I said, I didn’t have time to work on it when we were there yesterday but I’ll start with those and will let you know when I get a chance. If you find anything in the meantime, let me know.
