R25 DSM location

If the 2008 R25 has a DSM (digital sounder module), where is it located? I am trying to figure out if the transducer is connected directly to the C120 chartplotter or if there is a black box (the DSM) between them.


My boat is packed to the gills and I don't feel like tearing the thing up.

On my 2008 R25, the DSM is located behind the helm, accessible from the starboard V-birth flip down panel on the bulkhead. It lays horizontally on the deck inside the door, just forward of the chartplotter.

I am assuming that it is so obviously apparent that I could not miss it.

In my case I do not see it behind the helm. This seems odd since the other 2008 had it located there but for me I do not see it.

Just in case, here's what mine looks like (it's the grey box on the floor of the space):

Look under the Stbd Vee berth cushion . You may find it there.

With some help I found it mounted on the bulkhead behind the electric panel. RT must have realized the "inconvenient" location and changed it in future production.
