R25 hatch over Head

I need to order or acquire a new hatch which fits over the head. It is the only one rectangular in shape and looks to be the same size as the ones used on the 21EC, my earlier boat. The entire glass shattered and I need to replace it as soon as possible. I suspect that with the dynamics of flexing and movement in the water underway it may leak or even have pieces fall into the boat.

I would contact the factory right away. They should be able to either let you know where you can get one or ship you one.

Send Andrew a PM and it will kick up on his email that he has a PM. He may not look at the site here for a day or two and you are in need of a hatch right away it sounds.

Not to add to the pain of whatever event had happened but I have always been somewhat concerned about these hatches. Mine are all still OK but I would like to know what it takes to break one??? I have a guy that helps me maintain my boat and when he walks on the roof I am constantly reminding him to not step on them (he just does not know how to look down).

FYI these are Jim Black Hatches . I wonder how they would respond to a call from a concerned customer ?

These are now made by Hi Tide Manufacturing and its measurement is a 12X17. Your dealer who you purchased the boat from can submit a parts form for any parts you might need if this hasn't been handled already. I have never seen one shatter for any other reason than something dropping on it or leaving it unlatched while underway.
