Remounted the radar and got the best of both worlds. Retained the classic looking mast and the dome is mounted on the cabin roof. Actually it was the simplest thing to do also. It solved the two issues that I had with the mast mounted dome. First it was a PITA to set up/take down every time we launch. Second the stays were in the way of storing dingy/kayaks on up top. Without the weight of the dome on it the mast can be free standing. It's a breeze to set up now and no stays in the way. The redar is about six inches lower than before but still high enough to clear the spotlight and radar reflector. Viewed from forward it looks just like the stock configuration. It was also super easy and relatively inexpensive to do.

What mount did you use?

Thank You Fine Sir!

What'd you do with your Air Horns?

The horn wasn't working so I just removed it for the time being. Will use existing wiring and mount electronic horn on mast when I get to it. Meantime have the trusty handheld. Also plan to mount a forward facing LED light bar on mast as well.

What LED mast light did you use that works for both a Steaming and Anchor light?

I just replaced the bulb in the existing light with an LED ordered through Amazon. You have to make sure and get a 360 degree LED bulb.

Found out that since R25 is less than 40’ length, the anchor light can also serve as the masthead or steaming light. Must be visible to 2nm.
