Subject: R25/OB dockside air conditioning/reverse cycle heat ?

With the Lithium battery pack option and the AC unit, how well can the boat be warmed/heated using the AC unit when underway ?

I understand the Lithium battery pack option can operate the AC unit when underway, and the batteries can receive some charging from the OB motor's unused charging capacity when it's running.

I have not yet tried it under way, but since the reverse cycle heat uses the same ac system, I would think it would be the same. I did use the heat last night dockside to test it, put out surprisingly warm air, and worked great, overnight low was 52 outside. I buttoned up and quickly came up to 68 per my thermometer in the v berth once I calibrated with the temp setting in the cave with cycling on and off all night. I guess more importantly, the water temp is 71 in Baltimore, so easy to pull heat out. The test will be once water temp drops, but my boat is going inside this year at beginning of Nov., so I won’t get a good test this season. I will post an update on my thread re AC system pump shutting down.
