Subject: R25/OB's throttle lever's friction control?
When I had my R27/OB I found the Yamaha's throttle lever was rather jerky when moving it forward. On the base of the throttle lever there's a round side port covered with a rubber grommet that provides access to an adjustment screw affecting the friction for the lever's movement. I used this hoping to resolve the lever's jerky issue. I never was able to get the jerkiness resolved no matter how much I fiddled with the adjustment screw.
I'm now about to be the owner of an 2023 R25/OB that has the same Yamaha throttle lever and wonder if I'll have to contend with jerkiness movement in the throttle's lever. I've had chats with a recent 2022 R25/OB owner and was told the throttle's movement is smooth and had no jerkiness to it when being moved.
For others with the R25/OB, what is, and has been your experience in this regards.
Thanks... 🙂
