R25 SC, battery replacement …

With the addition of our generator, the boat has a list to port, especially when my wife and I sit at the table … people, genny and 4 group 27 AGM batteries all on the port side. I was wondering if it is possible to relocate the batteries to the under deck storage compartment on the starboard side, close to the battery charger and water heater.

Would that help to even out the weight? Is this a safe possibility?

Some people have done this and it helps.

Moved our 2 house batteries to the starboard locker 2 years ago. Moved 'heavy' items in the cabin to starboard cabinets, too (liquids, tools, etc.). Boat sits level now. Glad we did this.

Appreciate the replies. Will look to move batteries as part of my winterization project in a month or so.

I mover the 2 house batteries to the rear of the starboard locker, solved the problem.
