Several posts have been made recently about air conditioning performance or lack thereof. The Dometic system in my 2012 R27 cools the cabin and lowers humidity to a comfortable level (low to mid-70s), even in the hot, humid weather of the southeast United States. Windows and hatches facing the sun have to be screened or have curtains pulled to mitigate solar heating to achieve these comfortable temperatures.
Here's the data point, taken this late morning with an infrared thermometer: Outside air temp 81 degrees, water temp 71 degrees, conditioned air temp delivered to vents in cabin: 52 degrees.
Because there's no insulation and plenty of air gaps throughout the boat, on very hot days, the system runs often. But it is gratifying to step into a cool, comfortable cabin on those days.
