Noticed some of the 2018-19 R27 O/B manual is inaccurate and needing updates:

No schematic of just A.C.-powered items (i.e. microwave, A/C-Heater, Jensen TV, Keurig coffeemaker, etc.)

Thruster and Inverter 'switches'(?) described in Port lazarette, appear similar to Parallel, House and Engine selectors, but not located there...or anywhere else?

No Identification of the small teardrop-shaped (Sonar transmitter?) beneath transom at hull-stern.

No Manual identifies which Model head is Fresh vs. Raw water installed.

Suggestions?

Hello,

Thank you for posting on the Tugnuts. Please see my response below.

1. We do not have AC schematics for this model. This model is pretty simple. For example, the microwave has a 120 volt power source that runs right from the microwave to the microwave breaker. The inverter runs right from the inverter to the inverter breaker. If you have something specific, feel free to ask and we will be happy to let you know.

2. Both of the battery switches for the thruster and inverter are located as the manual states in the port cockpit locker.

3. Not sure of what you are stating here. The transducer for the depth finder is located in the forward berth under the step as you walk into the V-berth area.

4. On page 11 of the manual you will see the "raw water" head laid out with the plumbing going too it.

Thank you!

Andrew,
Thanks, I located the Inverter and Thruster switches (hard to see -behind a 2" scat-hose in port cockpit locker). Never had a reason to shut them off. I just d/c all 4 batteries and wrap in winter. Leave everything else (switches, breakers) as is.

P.S. The Thruster batt'y is very hard to access to d/c. Has anyone tried to access it easier by making a 'hatch' in the behind-the-door storage locker floor? Would that be almost directly over the Thruster battery?

The A.C. system is quite simple. I was just not sure what all was A.C. powered (outlets. M-wave, A/C, Keurig, TV?)

The thing beneath the transom on bottom of hull is 3" teardrop-shaped & looks metallic. Could it be the sonar transmitter? I know the Depth Finder transducer is located in the fwd. berth-step: had to reseal it twice already.

The Manual for the head shows both fresh & raw water flush Models, but NO way to ID which is installed in a 2019 R27 O/B. Can you please confirm FM installs the raw-water head?
Thanks!

Hello,

Yes, we do install a raw water head and the only version on the 27. The fresh water you are speaking of is to the shower and sink faucet inside of the head.

I know the thruster battery is tucked away but these are maintenance free batteries and the only time you should have to remove it is when it comes time to replace it. I have not heard of cutting an access door but not a terrible idea.

I have no idea what the teardrop thing is in the transom. Could you send me a photo? I believe we have emailed so feel free to send it there.

Best regards,

I believe he is pointing to raw water intake.
